К сожалению, устроители пирамид раз за разом полагаются на финансовую неграмотность населения и ежегодно обманывают сотни доверчивых россиян, бросая тень сомнения на действительно работающие организации.

По мнению Сергея Волкова, есть важные факторы в работе КПК, на которые следует обратить внимание, чтобы не стать жертвой мошенников:

1. Кооператив не ведет никакой хозяйственной деятельности. По сути, пайщики не знают, где и как «работают» их сбережения и за счет чего формируется доход;
2. У председателя кооператива нет экономического либо юридического образования, этот человек неизвестен, в его биографии много белых пятен;
3. Путаница в документах или их сокрытие, не предоставление исчерпывающей информации по первому требованию пайщика;
4. Агрессивная рекламная кампания после 2 лет работы кооператива;
5. Перебои с выплатами процентов пайщикам и затягивание выдачи средств при изъятии.
